Romeo is the perfect man for me
Why couldn't he Capulet man be.
Oh how wonderful he is at kissing.
His tender lips that comfort my first kiss.
I shall never forget this day of mine,
The day I have found my perfect sould mate.
I do not wish to end this so quickly,
For I know it might not happen again.

My story
One minute I was enjoying a beautiful nice sunny day in my boat with my crew mates, and the next I face what happens to be the most dangerous experience of my life. As I open my eyes, I don’t know what happened. All I see is that my body is wet, and there are my crew mates scattered around the blue ocean screaming for help. I see myself floating in the ocean with a huge object next to me that I can’t really define what it is. Then I realize that the huge object is what used to be an very beautiful boat, now all destroyed and broken. Suddenly, I realized what I just happened. I have just been thrown overboard, in the middle of the great Pacific Ocean.
The first thing I did was panic. I couldn’t believe that this whole thing was happening to me, and my body just started freaking out. I swung my leg in the water as hard as I can, and screamed as loud as I can, and realized that only word came out of my voice, the world “Help”. The water was getting colder and colder every second, and my body started to malfunction. I couldn’t move my lips, I didn’t have the energy to scream or float, and I realized I was slowly going down into the water. At this rate, I figured I had to do something or I would drown, and started using my brain. I set aside all my fears and concentrated on how I should solve this problem. My whole body was in a more calm state, and I was able to concentrate more efficiently.
Then came my chance. A huge plane was flying over the sky. I knew this was the only chance I’ve got or else I would die in the middle of the sea. So I swam to the boat and tried to look for anything that would get the plane’s attention. However all I could find was a mirror, a piece of string, and a broken chair. Then I saw the mirror placed in a certain way that it was reflecting the sunlight back to the sky. Of Course! Mirror was just what I needed! I took the mirror and adjusted it so that the sunlight reflected back and hit the plane. The plane knew at once that it was a signal and sent down a rope to pick me up. That was the end for my great adventure in the sea.

Where I'm From
I am from the sea
from the beaches and rivers
I am from the sand under Santamonica Bay
(Gold, white
shining like the jewels)
I am from the waves of
the crystal sea
where seagulls fly over
enjoying the soft breeze
I'm from cameras and studios,
from the mountains of Hollywood,
I'm from the actors
and directors,
from Action! and Cut!
I'm from hastalavista, baby
where everyday is a different play
and ten different lines to say
I'm from Malabu and Beverley Hills
cheese burger and cold smoothies
From the gold the land lost
to the people
the eyes of the Indians shut to find gold.
Under my bed was a lego box
spilling old lego-pieces,
many lost
to motivate me to make something not planned
I am from those moment --
left before I realized--
lost pieces found and thrown away from the house with me
from the beaches and rivers
I am from the sand under Santamonica Bay
(Gold, white
shining like the jewels)
I am from the waves of
the crystal sea

"Gambler killed parents for money"
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2009/02/24/BADM163UON.DTL
This article is about a Gambler, due to his addiction for gambling, leads to killing his parents. The basic story-line is that he had some dept needed to be payed from Gambling, both from the gamblers and his parents. This is another story that gets money to make people do some horrific things. In the article it quotes, ""did not appear to show much emotion" at the deaths. He seemed more interested in getting a look at the will, hoping that it would give him as much as $1.5 million, Dudek said" This was the interesting part because it tells that he thought money was more important than his parents death. I think, in a way, this relates to the story The Pearl, because in both situation money drives them to killing their family member. It both has the same theme: Greed can stop you from seeing what truly values.

The Pearl Reflection
THE PEARL REFLECTION
In the book, “The Pearl”, the first passage starts off with something like this: “if the story is a parable perhaps everyone takes his own meaning from it and reads his own life into it”. This is stating that every story is like a parable that tells a moral, and as readers, we take that moral and apply it to our own life. I think I can agree with this statement, weather or not the moral might be righteous or not. Also I believe that there was a moral in the story “The Pearl” too. “The Pearl” is basically a story about a man named Kino finding a pearl. Originally, he was going to use it to cure his baby, Coyotito, but they realize that the baby is fine and now Kino doesn’t know what to do with all the money. He tries to cell the pearl, but he becomes paranoid and thinks that the buyers are ripping him off. As the story goes on, it keeps mentioning that the pearl will destroy Kino. This becomes true when Kino tries to go to the capital to sell the pearl for a right price, when a few hunters follow him in chase for the pearl. At the climax he fights off these hunters, but ends up killing his own son. This tragedy opens Kino’s eyes, and eventually he destroys the pearl.
Even though this is a sad story that has an tragic ending, it has one of the most important moral. The moral of the story is that Greed leads to no good. In the beginning Kino was trying to find a pearl for a good purpose. However as the story continues, greed eats up Kino, which leads to killing his own son. From this we could all learn that we should not let greed take over us. It is easy for us to get tempted when there is a lot of money in our hand, and the author is trying to show what will happen if we do not make the right choices. Just like “The Pearl”, all stories can be a parable. It can teach a good moral, a bad moral, or just a random pointless moral. I believe that humans were given this ability to express an moral by God to lead the others. The bible tells many parables which are the examples God left for us, and as human we have developed this parable into stories such as “The Pear”.
